Camillus House was founded in 1960 by the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd at the request of the Archdiocese of Miami. Miami at the time was dealing with a large immigration of Cuban refugees with nowhere to go. What began as an overnight shelter has been steadily growing and adapting as Miami has grown and changed throughout the years.
Reaching out to the least, the last, and the lost by empowering men, women, and children to become successful in life; reuniting families, restoring lives, building new futures, and serving South Florida since 1922.
In partnership with the White House's Center for Faith-based & Neighborhood Partnerships, Miami-Dade County's Office of Emergency Management yesterday kicked-off MIAMI-DADE C.O.R.E. (Communities Organized to Respond in Emergencies), a first-of-its-kind program designed to better engage faith-based and community organizations in planning, responding and recovering from disasters.
The mission of Community Access Center (CAC) is to assist individuals and families with access to culturally competent, cost effective social and clinical services to ensure their needs are met and improve their quality of life.
Family Counseling Services

Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami, Inc., provides specialized mental health services for families by focusing on the prevention and treatment of emotional trauma to foster resiliency in children from infancy through adolescence. SHADO Foundation
The shadow foundation is designed to educate, motivate and teach Health and Wellness education to the people in our communities. The Foundation's intention is to change lives of people in the community through Health and Wellness education. This will take the form of workshops, seminars and trade shows.
Our universal Mission is to develop each associate's intrinsic abilities to learn, think, act effectively, and function successfully in a changing world. To create a place where training is not the sole responsibility of the employer, but associates play an important role in their own advancement, have high expectations for themselves and require only minimal supervision to get the job done.
LifeTree Services, Inc. (LTSI)
Life Tree Services, Inc (LTSI) is a private, nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization that provides community outreach services to the residents of Miami-Dade County. Currently, LTSI helps residents by offering information and referrals for various services. We also provide food, clothing, job counseling and more for individuals and families in need of a helping hand during these challenging economic times.
Brinnikas Resources and Community Support
The purpose and aim of the organization is to (a) build and strengthen youths and their families, (b) provide access and support for families in crisis, (c) to provide assistance for homeless individuals and their families, (d) provide opportunities for teaching skills for daily living, community enrichment, social and economic reconstruction through empowerment and education, eliminating prejudice and discrimination, combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.
A JOB FOR YOU was established in 1987 by Steven and Mike Boyar. Together, they have over thirty years of professional experience in the Personnel Industry. With a dedicated staff of professionals, A JOB FOR YOU has been successfully meeting South Florida's employment needs since their inception.
Breast Cancer Partner is a sanctuary for breast cancer survivors who are nearing the end of treatment or who are on their journey to recovery. We strive to support, inspire and empower survivors to live strong and healthy lives after treatment ends. Our goal is to help shepherd survivors through the recovery process by providing information, resources, guidance and tools to effectively deal with life post-treatment.

Solid Rock Enterprise, Inc. (Neighborhood Accountability Board (NAB)
In June 2004, Solid Rock Enterprise, Inc., a Restorative Justice Academy was launched to offer student victims, youthful offenders, at-risk children, and youth, alternatives in dealing with juvenile crime and victimization at a school level - opposed to referrals to the juvenile justice system. Solid Rock collectively has over 60 years experience and expertise to include restorative justice practices, conflict reconciliation, and peer mediation, victim sensitivity, behavior science, parent leadership training, program evaluation, education, consulting, and peer reviewer for the Office Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention.
Florida Children and Families (DCF)
The ACCESS Florida Program is responsible for public assistance eligibility determination and ongoing case management of Food Assistance, Temporary Cash Assistance and Medicaid. The Food Assistance Program helps low-income individuals and families buy the food they need for good health. The Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) Program provides short-term cash benefits to families with children under the age of 18, or under age 19 if full time secondary school students, as well as pregnant women during in their last trimester. Medicaid provides medical coverage to low income individuals and families through a variety of eligibility categories. Income and asset limits vary based on the eligibility category.

It is the nation’s largest provider of HIV/AIDS medical care. A truly independent voice in our mission to rid the world of HIV/AIDS, AHF’s operating capital comes from our own self-created social enterprises. AHF Pharmacies, thrift stores, health care contracts and other strategic partnerships generate funding that helps AHF provide medical and advocacy services to the thousands of people it serves.
